Moniqua Spencer, Chair
Ms. Spencer has over 20 years experience in banking and finance. She currently works for Huntington National Bank as a Senior Business Banker, focused on the lending, depository, and cash management needs of businesses up to $20MM in annual sales revenue.
During her career as a Business Banker she has received numerous sales awards for top production and portfolio growth. She was featured for 3 years in a local commercial advertising Huntington Bank’s small business lending group. Ms. Spencer specializes in loan enhancement programs including federal and state programs including SBA 7a, 504, Ohio 166, and Capital Access loans.
She formerly served as EVP, Lending and Programs for Ohio Community Development Finance Fund, a statewide non-profit financial intermediary committed to bridging financial resources and low to moderate income communities. She was responsible for the administration, management, and deployment of Finance Fund’s multiple lending and grants programs. She has significant expertise in the New Markets Tax Credit Program, having been directly responsible for closing over $125MM in NMTC loans during her tenure.
Julie Barnhill, Vice Chair
Julie is a Manager for Accenture, where her specialty lies in technology consulting within SAP Finance. Accenture’s Columbus office has been a partner of ECDI and the Women’s Business Center for a few years, and Julie has been a key member of the team since inception. She has a bachelor’s degree in music industry from Capital University and a master’s degree in management from American Intercontinental University.
Sabra Kershaw, Vice President, Banking Center Manager & Business Development, WesBanco Bank. With over 22 years of experience in the banking industry, Sabra enjoys working with her clients. She has built a great rapport with them and they trust her knowledge. Sabra is responsible for helping business owners grow by providing the right solutions for their business. Everyone should have a Bank Manager or Business Manger that is reliable and trustworthy. Sabra is located in the Powell community but has many connections throughout Central Ohio in which she is very involved.
Graduating from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Business Administration, Laura Troup followed with a successful career in sales and marketing in the Health Care industry. She brings these skills to her volunteer work today. With a focus on Development, Laura currently serves on numerous boards in the Columbus area: Franklin Park Conservatory, Welcome Warehouse, Dublin Faith Community Partners, ECDI’s Women’s Business Center, Indian Run Preschool and Indian Run Methodist Church. She is also a standing member of the CAPA Gala Planning Committee.
Previously, Laura served as President of the Women's Board at Franklin Park Conservatory, Executive Committee member of Columbus Museum of Art Women's Board, Columbus Metropolitan Library Celebration of Learning committee member and Development Chair of The Childhood League. She lives in Dublin with her husband, Gordon and their dog, Tucker. They love visits with their twin daughters who live on the east and west coast.
Kelly has eight years experience in the banking industry currently as an Associate Private Banking Officer with Fifth Third Bank. Her primary focus is to partner with law firms and their clients who need assistance in matters related to Special Needs Trusts, Estate Settlements and Guardianship accounts. Kelly also serves as Co-Chair of the Women’s Resource Group at Fifth Third Bank and as a member/ volunteer at ROX (Ruling Our Experiences).
Sherri is an attorney and serves as the General Counsel of Lazear Capital Partners, Ltd., a Columbus based investment banking firm. Formerly, Sherri was a partner in the litigation group of BakerHostetler, practicing in the areas of bankruptcy, construction, and real estate litigation. She also serves on the faculty of the Moritz College of Law at The Ohio State University.
Sharon S. Gordon
Sharon is the Founder and CEO of Urban Trendsetters, LLC. (UTS). UTS has several media properties including UTS News Magazine, UTS Radio, UTS T.V., UTS Website and the advertising, branding and marketing division Urban Trendsetters Media. Founded in February 2003 Urban Trendsetters is a grass-roots, Columbus based company which found its niche as the newspaper and media organization known for reporting on the positive aspects of the urban community. Urban Trendsetters, LLC has become a major media source for diversity outreach in Ohio.
Mary B Relotto
Mary B. Relotto holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Journalism from Ohio University. She is the Founder and CEO of Dames Bond LLC, the mission of which is to help women thrive, personally and professionally, through networking, collaborations and learning experiences. For years, Dames Bond operated a retail shop featuring local women artisans and business owners. Dames Bond was also recognized by US News and World Report as one of the “top 8 handy sites for networking events”.
In 2011, Mary B. was named Entrepreneur of the Year by Metropreneur. She also won the SBA Women in Business Champion award that year. More recently, Mary B. has founded Mission Possible Consulting Group to help small business, emerging artists and nonprofits achieve their missions through marketing, branding and retail placement. She also is a founding partner of Speaking of Gender a group working to ensure that women are included in leadership and speaking roles in professional and public programs.
Alyson is an attorney of the law firm of Eastman & Smith Ltd., where she concentrates her practice in the areas of general business law and corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, tax-exempt entities, technology and intellectual property law. A native of Cleveland, Alyson is a double Buckeye, holding a bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University and a law degree from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.
Alice Hohl, Honorary Board Member
Alice is the CEO of SiteInSight, an online marketing and web design firm in Gahanna, Ohio. Alice launched her business in 2011 with two young children at home and her husband beginning a full-time academic program, so she understands the unique challenges and risks of the female business owner. She brings marketing and technology expertise to the board, as well as four year of nonprofit public relations experience and community connections. She is heavily involved in several area service and youth development organizations in Central Ohio.
