Chaussures LLC
Shelly Boyd, CEO and Founder
WBC Region: Central Ohio
Chaussures was founded by Shelly Boyd after her personal experience highlighted a gap in the market for stylish, well-fitting footwear. What began as a challenge grew into a purpose-driven online boutique focused on offering fashion-forward shoes without compromising on comfort or quality. With a commitment to helping women feel confident in what they wear, Chaussures has become a trusted destination for modern, thoughtfully curated footwear.

Advice for other women entrepreneurs
“Take the time to learn every aspect of your business before outsourcing or delegating. You will make mistakes along the way, but hiring the wrong people can be costly financially and even legally. When you understand how your business operates, you can make informed decisions, protect what you’ve built, and keep things running smoothly.”

Why Shelly started Chaussures
Chaussures was born from Shelly Boyd’s personal experience after her shoe size changed from a 10 to an 11 following the birth of her first child over 25 years ago. Suddenly, finding stylish, comfortable shoes that truly fit became a frustrating challenge. As she searched for options, she realized she wasn’t alone—many women were facing the same struggle with limited choices in extended sizes. What began as a personal need grew into a bigger mission, leading Shelly to create Chaussures as a destination for fashion-forward footwear up to size 13, without compromising on comfort, quality, or confidence.
What Shelly is most proud of
Shelly is most proud of the longevity and growth of Chaussures. As she approaches nine years in business, she has not only sustained the brand but expanded its reach to major retail platforms like Amazon and Walmart. In an industry where extended sizes are often overlooked, she takes pride in continuing to evolve, show up consistently, and create greater access for women.
