Constance Hill-Johnson
Owner and Managing Director of Visiting Angels Living Assistance Services
Constance Hill-Johnson (Connie) is the Owner and Managing Director of Visiting Angels Living Assistance Services in Cleveland Ohio. Visiting Angels is an in-home service provider assisting the elderly and older adults to live as independently as possible by remaining safely in their own familiar home environment.
Now a seasoned entrepreneur, Connie started her business in 2002, and has successfully served hundreds of seniors throughout the greater Cleveland area and surrounding communities. She spent many years working in both the financial services and healthcare arena.
A graduate of Case Western Reserve University and The University of Southern California, Connie is regarded as both a dynamic motivational leader and speaker who shares with audiences her entrepreneurial journey owning a homecare agency, which began in her early 40’s. She also shares her journey as an adult caregiver caring for a mother with dementia.
​Her commitment to the community is unwavering. She is the first African American woman to serve as Board Chairperson for The Cleveland Foundation, the oldest community foundation in the country. The Cleveland Magazine named her one of 2024’s Most Interesting People and Crain’s Cleveland Business recognized her in 2023 as a Notable Nonprofit Board Leader. In 2020 she was honored as a YWCA Greater Cleveland Woman of Achievement winner and in 2017 honored as a Crain’s Women of Note. She also serves on the board of the Benjamin Rose Institute on Aging (BRIA) and is actively involved in other community and civic organizations.
Connie has earned the degree of Master of Public Administration with an emphasis in Health Services Administration from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California. Additionally, she holds a degree of Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communications from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.
