WBC Northern Advisory Board
The Women's Business Center of Northern Ohio is seeking visionary, dynamic Advisory Board members, with a deep understanding of Cleveland, who can add value to the mission and goals of the WBC. Strategic and Innovative individuals with proficient problem-solving and communication skills should apply.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as an active ambassador to regional partners on behalf of WBC and leverage networks and connections
- Mentor WBC staff
- Actively participate in important WBC events
- Participate in fundraising activities
- Stay informed on best practices that will assist in the goals and mission of WBC
Time Demands (Approximate):
- Prepare for, attend and conscientiously participate in all Council meetings. (1.5 hours quarterly)
- Attend and actively participate in the annual fundraiser (3-4 hours annually)
- Attend special events 4 times per year. (2 hours per event)
- Meet with potential donors/funders to make a case for funding the organization, answer questions, etc. (4 hours annually)
Financial and Resource Development Expectations:
- Through personal or professional resources, secure a minimum of $2,500 per year
- Sell tickets to fundraising events
- Recruit sponsors, as needed
- Identify and cultivate potential donors
